BooksKept.ai connects to your QBO company file using Intuit's standard authorization flow.
How the connection works
- 1 You invite BooksKept.ai as your Accountant inside QBO (Settings -> Manage Users -> Accountants). Read-only by default.
- 2 We accept the invitation and authorize secure API access to your company file using OAuth 2.0.
- 3 We pull a snapshot of your chart of accounts, classes, vendors, customers, and transactions to assess your books.
- 4 We deliver a free assessment within five business days, with a clear scope and quote for ongoing work.
What we access
Only the data needed to do your books:
- + Chart of accounts and classes
- + Customer and vendor lists
- + Transaction records
- + Financial reports
